🏖 The beach - A sandy stretch of about 100 metres serves as an entry and exit point for windsurfers.
🪁 Kitesurfers - Have their launch point downwind, to the right of the windsurfing zone.
🌊 Water area - After crossing any surf, both groups share the same area.

💨 Prevailing wind - The northeast trade wind (side-onshore) comes from the left to the shore, providing stable and predictable conditions.

🌬 Prevailing wind - The wind at Harbour Wall is predominantly northeast trade winds, providing a steady and strong wind for both windsurfing and kitesurfing.
🌬 Winds for all levels - Winds are usually side-onshore, meaning the wind blows from the side onshore, which is ideal for both sports. At certain times the wind can be strong, which is suitable for advanced sailors, but even beginners will find relatively safe conditions.

🌊 Calmer water - The water is calmer in the harbour area, which is ideal for beginners and for practicing manoeuvres.
🌊 In stronger winds - Smaller waves may occur in stronger winds, but overall conditions in the harbour are rather calm. For waves and jumps, it is better to move to other beaches in El Médan, such as Cabezo.

A calm alternative for windsurfing and kitesurfing
Playa La Tejita is a beautiful natural beach with fine golden sand, located approximately 2 km from El Médano in the south of Tenerife. Thanks to its location under the volcanic cone of Montaña Roja, it offers a quieter and less busy environment than neighbouring El Médano.

🏖 Water access - Gentle sandy shore, suitable for take-off and landing.

🌬 Works for westerly winds (west wind), southwesterly winds (SW) and southerly winds (S)!
Northeast trade winds here cause turbulence due to Montaña Roja, which can negatively affect wind quality.

🌊 Moderate waves in light winds - Suitable for a relaxed ride.
🌊 Stronger winds - Can create bigger waves, which will be appreciated by more advanced riders.
